How To Uninstall squid3 On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall squid3 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just squid3

sudo apt-get remove squid3

This will remove just the squid3 package itself.

Uninstall squid3 and it's dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove squid3

This will remove the squid3 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for squid3 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge squid3

Or similarly, like this squid3

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove squid3
